What You’ll Do (AKA: Your Superpowers) Support Safe Medication Administration:- Accurately administer prescribed medications and document them per state regulations and community policies.
- Monitor and report changes in resident health or behavior to nursing staff.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of medications.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Provide emotional support and help residents maintain their independence and dignity.
- Respond to call lights and resident needs with kindness and urgency.
- Collaborate with nurses, CNAs, and other departments to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
- Assist with meal service, light housekeeping, or resident activities when needed.
- Treat residents and teammates with respect, patience, and a positive attitude.
- Active CMA certification in the state of employment required.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Skills:
- Experience in a long-term care or assisted living setting preferred.
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures and ADL support.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to lift, move, and assist residents safely throughout your shift.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds during regular duties.
