Position: IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK/CUSTSPT) with Security Clearance
Duties DUTY 1:
Performs services as a Net. Carries out responsibilities encompassing both Windows and Linux server configuration, VMware management, file system configuration, systems development, integration, advanced file systems administration, cybersecurity implementation, storage area networks management, database administration, and hardware architecture design. DUTY 2:
Cyber systems security liaison. Create IT Cybersecurity system designs that meet precise operational needs and environmental factors. DUTY 3: IT systems administration consultant. Participate as a member of the configuration control board in the formulation of the architecture for the 17th Training Wing Cyber Training environment. DUTY 4:
Network Storage and Backup Specialist. As an advisor for Network Storage operations for the 17 TRG training networks, the employee oversees a range of critical functions, including configuring Windows and Linux servers, managing VMware, developing and integrating systems, administering advanced file systems, implementing cybersecurity measures, and designing hardware architecture. * Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.

* The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments. Qualifications This is a GG-09 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-09 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Entry/Developmental" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-09 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate GS-5 through GS-15 (or equivalent):
