Full-time Description
Responsibilities- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines (Haas, Mazak), including 3-axis machines, 5-axis machines, horizontal mills, and lathes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GibbsCAM files to execute machining tasks.
- Perform precise machining operations to create parts that meet exact specifications and tolerances within +/- 0.005".
- Inspect and verify parts using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, FARO) to ensure adherence to strict quality standards.
- Assist with in-process deburr as parts complete machining operations.
- Follow established safety protocols, wear all required PPE, and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Check calibration status of assigned tools and equipment.
- Maintain a work record.
- Perform all other tasks as assigned.
- US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status.
- Minimum 1 year of machining experience and/or relevant technical training program.
- Ability to read and comprehend drawings, quality documents, etc.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of GD&T.
- Excellent time management with the ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast‑paced, schedule‑driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally need to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time; walk and stoop, kneel or crouch.
- Experience with multi‑axis machining for high‑tolerance parts.
- Familiarity with relevant materials (e.g., 6061 aluminum, copper, specialty plastics, etc.).
