CNC Machinist

The Estimator works from customer drawings and specifications in estimating the cost in manufacturing of machined parts, fabricated parts, and assemblies.

Machinists will lead the transition / change over between production runs on various CNC machines such as lathes and mills then operate selected machines through the remainder of the production run while ensuring quality has been met.

Day Shift – M-F, 8-10 hours/ day

• Assist machine shop personnel in completion of assigned work.
• Clean up and move production parts throughout the shop.
• Follow written and verbal instructions.
• Measure and record values from parts using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring equipment as needed.
• Perform routine tooling and fixture changes on machines.
• Select and use proper tooling for job based on information supplied.
• Must also be able to translate blueprint for measurement purposes.
• Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds, sit and stand for long periods.
• Inspect to print.
• Perform basic math calculations.
• Work within tolerances greater than or equal to +/- 0.005
• Other duties as assigned by supervision.

Can travel to the Customer or other MIC locations to assist with quality control issues. Will have the ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (ANSI Safety Goggles)
