Baylor Scott & White Health Brenham is a private, non‑profit, 25‑bed critical access hospital accredited by the Joint Commission and designated a Level IV Trauma Center with a supporting Level III Stroke Facility. Registered Nurses in the Women’s Services department will assist new mothers through labor, delivery and the recovery process in the labor and delivery suite. The suites provide a care environment where mothers and newborns remain together, making the birthing experience comfortable and family‑centered.

As Supervisor, Nursing Registered Nurse (RN) you supervise assigned nursing and unit‑based personnel to provide a safe, caring environment for patients, family and staff. You foster professional nursing practice, shared decision‑making, inter‑professional teamwork and collaboration to achieve positive patient and staff outcomes. You oversee day‑to‑day operations and productivity, assist the Nursing Manager with planning, developing, implementing, evaluating and monitoring policies, budgets, quality initiatives, educational programs and shared governance councils.

Clinical Judgment:
Maintain a healthy work environment supporting evidence‑based practice and research. Coordinate patient care through collaboration with an inter‑professional team, identify potential problems, supervise personnel, and ensure competency standards are met.

Clinical Inquiry:
Systematically evaluate nursing practice quality, facilitate practice changes, and conduct clinical research.

Create a compassionate, supportive, safe and therapeutic environment. Assist in patient‑care conferences and inter‑professional rounds.

• Knowledge of nursing and patient care standards, laws, regulations, and hospital protocols.
• Medical terminology, health promotion, risk reduction, medication knowledge, and patient privacy rights.

• Operational decision‑making, resource allocation, and policy evaluation.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, scheduling and payroll systems, electronic medical documentation, and email.

• Associate's degree in Nursing
• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or BLS within 30 days of hire
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
