Job Description
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Monday - Friday
7:00 am - 5:00 pm
$24.47 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues.
- Repair, replace, and adjust components such as drive systems, clutches, motors, and related equipment.
- Perform welding, cutting, brazing, and basic fabrication as needed to support maintenance activities.
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on industrial vehicles and mobile equipment, including forklifts and utility vehicles.
- Utilize testing and diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.
- Safely operate lifting equipment, including cranes, man lifts, and other material-handling devices.
- Accurately document maintenance work performed, parts used, and labor hours.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and occasional after-hours maintenance needs to support production operations.
- Follow all safety procedures and promptly report unsafe conditions or equipment concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to use tire-changing equipment and tools
- Ability to troubleshoot DC voltages
- Read and write clearly
- Is always diligent to work safely, and to follow safe working practices, including Lockout/Tag Out procedures and other safety procedures
- Basic shop math. Multiplication, division, decimals to fractions, fractions to decimals.
- Obtain forklift and crane equipment certification companies program
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Strong understanding of diesel and gasoline engines, transmissions, and related components.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic systems.
- Industrial maintenance or mechanic background in a manufacturing environment.
- Skilled in working with pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Comfortable using computer applications, including PLC software, Windows-based programs, and maintenance systems.
