First line of contact for all incoming phone calls and directs calls accordingly. Coordinate assignments and schedules of bus drivers, routes, and vehicles to ensure safe, efficient, and economical transportation services. Helps coordinate and assign vehicles and drivers for all extra‑curricular trips. Manages all transportation related emergency calls including accidents. Assist the Administrative Assistant of Transportation as needed. Drive bus as a substitute bus driver when needed.
Qualifications- High school diploma or GED
- Class B CDL or Class A with Passenger Endorsement
- Texas Bus Driver Certification
3 years experience as certified school bus driver preferred.
Special Knowledge/Skills- Effective telephone and radio communication skills
- Ability to receive and give verbal instructions effectively
- Proficient map‑reading skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to use a personal computer to do word processing, databases, and spreadsheets
- Ability to use specialized computer programs dealing with transportation routing, planning, and trip scheduling.
- Ability to operate bus
FLSA Status:
Non‑exempt
Hourly Rate: $20.81
Duty Days: 226
