The Fab Shop Welder role involves welding, fabricating, and assembling metal structures and components according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fabrication shop environment and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and precision.
Key Responsibilities- Perform welding tasks using MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding processes
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
- Measure, cut, and assemble metal components accurately
- Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, saws, drills, and presses
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Welding certification preferred but not required
- 2+ years of welding or fabrication experience preferred
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and weld symbols
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship quality
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Good problem‑solving skills and work ethic
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to work in a shop environment, including heat, noise, and fumes
- Manual dexterity and steady hand‑eye coordination
