ARCO is currently seeking an HR Shared Services Specialist to join our team in our Brentwood, MO office. This role will support our Shared Service team in administration of the leave of absence programs and other HR compliance activities for our 6B organization across 46 U.S. cities, Canada, and future international markets.

A DAY IN THE LIFE- Administer and oversee all leave of absence programs, including FMLA, ADA, short-term disability (STD), long-term disability (LTD), parental leave, personal leave, and other statutory or company-sponsored programs.
- Serve as a liaison between employees, external vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate administration of leaves of absence.
- Maintain, update, and audit leave records, case management systems, and supporting documentation in compliance with organizational policies, retention standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, analyze, and distribute routine and ad hoc reporting on leave utilization, trends, program effectiveness, compliance, and workforce planning.
- Assist in reviewing and updating leave policies to align with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and implement best practices that support an efficient, compliant, and employee-centered leave and accommodation experience.
- Support our Shared Service team with a variety of compliance administrative activities including but not limited to I-9s, unemployment, compliance training, affirmative action, and state and federal reporting.
- 3-5 years of experience in HR required with a focus on leave administration.
- Bachelor’s degree
- In-depth understanding of FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, and related employment laws.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with a high degree of professionalism and discretion.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated success collaborating with cross-functional partners, including HR, Payroll, Benefits, Operational Leaders, and external vendors.
- Able to develop and maintain clear, concise documentation, including standard operating procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
