ROLE SUMMARYPerforms normal warehousing functions (receiving, handling, storing, issuing, and delivering customer orders, operating forklifts and other material handling equipment and preparing finished product for external shipment) and operates the company truck in the delivery of product to internal customers.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or associate degree is required.
- 1-2 years related experience and/or training as a material handler preferred.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and be able to obtain (Missouri Class E, Illinois Class
C) or higher. - Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening and job fitness physical.
- Must be able to pass and maintain controlled substance clearance once employed.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information one-on-one, and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
- Ability to work with various computer operating systems and have accurate data entry skills.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- The employee is regularly required to stand and walk up to 8-12 hours a shift; balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
- The employee must wear all required safety equipment and perform assigned work in a safe manner.
- Employees must use proper lifting techniques and be conscious of hazards aroundhim/her.
- Must comply with all safety labels on incoming or outgoing materials.
