Position DescriptionSuffolk County Community College Veterinary Science Technology (VST) Program seeks licensed veterinarians as a part‑time adjunct instructor for the Fall 2026 semester to teach VST 103 – Anatomy and Physiology of Domestic Animals.
This course covers comparative anatomy and basic physiological systems. Laboratories explore anatomic structures with group dissections, supplemented by text, audio‑visual presentations, and clinical scenarios.
Lab schedule: 12–14 students;
Tuesday 08:00‑11:35 am and 12:00‑3:35 pm (8 contact hours).
- Deliver lectures and facilitate laboratory sessions for VST 103.
- Prepare instructional materials, assignments, and assessments.
- Provide guidance and mentoring of students during clinical scenario discussions.
- Licensed veterinarian (DVM or equivalent).
- BS in a science field; MS preferred.
- Strong knowledge of comparative anatomy and physiology.
