Help Desk Technician Brentwood, NY

Position Overview

Help Desk Technician at TEKsystems, Brentwood, TN. Contract to Hire. 90‑95% of the time spent on phone support for government employees, the remaining time on documentation, imaging, and ticket resolution. Minimum entry‑level experience required.

• Provide phone and remote technical support for government employees, resolving hardware, software, and application issues.
• Troubleshoot Windows 10 and Windows 7 environments, Office 365, and proprietary applications.
• Perform password resets and user account management in Active Directory.
• Log calls, document solutions, and maintain call logs in the ticketing system.
• Handle imaging and equipment ordering.
• Participate in reporting and documentation of common ticket issues.
• Engage in finance‑related support approximately 70% of the time.

• Experience in a help desk or customer service environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows 10 (and Windows
  7).
• Proficiency with ticketing systems, phone support, and remote assistance tools.
• Experience with Active Directory user management and password reset.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Personable, team‑oriented, and willing to volunteer for extra work.

Pay: $18.00–$22.00 per hour.
