Accounting Associate

• Assist with gathering information from clients, completing assignments, and coordinating with reviewers
• Monitor and report on assigned engagements' status
• Maintain communication with clients and supervisors regarding services
• Attend client appointments and assemble information to complete assignments
• Prepare client invoices and bills
• Maintain client accounts receivable and payable ledgers
• Process client payroll and assist with tax deposits
• Record client accounting transactions and prepare general ledgers
• Review monthly bank account and credit card reconciliations
• Assist with financial statement preparation
• Prepare payroll tax, sales/use, and other state/local tax returns
• Prepare annual wage and other information returns
• Make decisions on ordinary accounting matters and produce consistent valuable work
• Maintain control of time and charges
• Participate in pricing and billing client services
• Perform basic accounting advisory services engagements as assigned
• Participate in process improvement initiatives
• Provide client service and identify opportunities for expanded or new services

• Associate's Degree or near completion required
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• No experience required
• 1–3 years of recent accounting/bookkeeping experience preferred
• Proficient with Quick Books Desktop and Quick Books Online
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Great attention to detail
• Sound communication skills
• Sound analytical skills
• Willingness and ability to recognize and respond to opportunities for expanded or new client services
• Ability to live in the greater Nashville area and work in one of the office locations as needed

Demonstrates proficiency in accounting practices, including client invoicing, payroll processing, and financial statement preparation. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential for maintaining client relationships and identifying service opportunities.
