More About Our TeamThe Retirement Benefits Manager provides administrative, analytical, and business support for Lifepoint’s Retirement plans and supporting programs. This position is directly responsible for managing the design, delivery, and compliance of Lifepoint Health’s retirement programs. The Manager, Retirement Benefits will serve as Human Resources Subject Matter Expert (SME) for retirement programs.
How You’ll Contribute- Supervise all activities relating to the administration and maintenance of Lifepoint Health’s employee retirement and financial education programs.
- Provide expertise and strategic leadership for the functional areas of retirement benefits, including, but not limited to, the company’s 401(k) plan, deferred compensation plan, and financial education platforms.
- Serve as a member of Lifepoint Health’s investment advisory committee and the Plan Administration Committee.
- Develop ongoing metric/measurement methodology, analytic reporting, and communication material to promote understanding of all Lifepoint Health’s retirement programs.
- Manage day‑to‑day administration of the 401(k) plan and deferred compensation plan.
- Provide support of HR Shared Services escalated employee issues.
- Ensure retirement plans are in compliance by monitoring federal laws and regulations, including ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code; complete compliance testing for 401(k) and non‑qualified plans, oversee external audits, and collaborate in filing various compliance reports such as Department of Labor 5500 reporting, Summary Annual Reports (SAR), and non‑discrimination testing.
- Coordinate with vendors for data collection and analysis related to plan audits, compliance filings, and information requests; participate in the review and update of Summary Plan Descriptions (SPD) and retirement benefits communications materials.
- Develop and implement audit processes to facilitate data input analysis; work with external and internal audit departments on transaction verification and documentation.
- Administer funding of Lifepoint Health’s retirement plans, including the 401(k), non‑qualified plans, and deferred compensation plans in coordination with retirement consultants and the Plan Administration Committee.
- Lead project management to execute retirement program strategy, including enrollments, implementation of new vendors, acquisitions and divestitures, HRIS system integration, and other department initiatives; coordinate with IT, Payroll, HR Shared Services, consultants, attorneys, and other partners as necessary.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
