Director of SalesThe Director of Sales will be responsible for developing and executing the company's sales strategy, building strong relationships with clients and partners, and leading the sales team to achieve aggressive growth targets.
This role requires a strategic leader who can identify new market opportunities, strengthen existing partnerships, and drive long-term revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company growth goals
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team
- Set sales targets and track performance metrics
- Build a high-performance sales culture focused on accountability and results
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the utilities and infrastructure sectors
- Establish relationships with key decision-makers in municipalities, utility companies, and contractors
- Expand market presence across Tennessee and surrounding regions
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
- Represent ML Utilities at industry events and networking opportunities
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity
- Develop strategic partnerships
- Provide insights to leadership on new service opportunities and expansion markets
- 7+ years of sales experience
- 3+ years in a leadership or management role
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Ability to travel as needed
- Experience in utilities, infrastructure, construction, or energy services
- Existing industry relationships in the Southeast region
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- Strategic thinking
