Installation Superintendent

Perimeter Security Partnersislookingforamotivatedandprofessionaltraveling Installation Superintendentwithstrongconstructiontradeexperiencetoinstallactivevehiclebarriers (AVB),security fencing,personnel gates,bollards,undergroundelectricaldistribution(conduit pathways),concrete equipment/parking pads,andpassivevehiclebarrier(PVB) equipmentataccesscontrolpoints(ACPs) throughout the

United

States.

Projectsiteswillincludemilitaryinstallations,federalgovernmentfacilities,industrial sites,datacenters,majorsportingandeventvenues,andothercommercialfacilities.

TheSuperintendentisresponsibleformanagingthephysicalconstructionofAVB,PVB,fence,andrelatedACPequipmentataprojectsitewithsupportfromaremote Project Manager .Theyshouldhaveadvancedproficiencywithexcavation;reinforcedconcreteplacement;chainlink,palisade,andwelded-wirefenceinstallation;trenchingandconduitinstallation;theabilitytosafelyoperateamini-excavator,forklift,andskidsteer;demonstratedcapabilitytodirecttheeffortsof2–4crewmembers;andthecapacitytoprocurematerials,rent equipment,tracklaborhours,andcompletedailyreports.

Thepositionrequiressomeonewithanoutstandingworkethic,acommitmenttomanagingasafeworkenvironmentfortheirteam,goodinterpersonalandsupervisoryskills,andtheabilitytoplanandexecutequalitywork.

The Superintendentreportsdirectlytothe General Superintendent .

• Directly supervise,train,monitor attendance,andassigntaskstoinstallationcrewandensuretheprojectiskeptonschedule.
• Monitorworkersinconstructionmethods,equipment operation,safety procedures,andcompany policies.
• CoordinatecloselywithPSP’sGeneral

  Managers,Clientsiterepresentatives,andotherpersonneltosafelyconductassignedworkwhileminimizingoperationalimpacts.
• Createthe3-weeklook-aheadscheduleanddeliverweeklyupdatestothe
  
  Project
  
  Manager.
• Overseeworkplansandteamactivitiestoensurecompliancewithapplicabledesignandcontractdocuments,safety criteria,andcompany policy.
• Conduct daily“toolbox talks”whichaddressapplicablesafetytopics,emphasizesafeuseofalltoolsandequipment,andenforcetheproperuseofPPE.
• Recordandreportsafetyincidents/accidents.
• Readandinterpretconstructionspecifications,drawings,andotherdocumentstoverifyrequirements,identifyworkareas,layoutequipmentandmaterial,andexecuterequiredtasks.
• Locate,measure,andmarksitelocationsforequipmentfoundations,posts,andotherstructures,usingbestpracticestoprotectandavoidexistingutilities,structures,vegetation,andotherobstructions.
• Clearlycommunicatewith Project Managers ,Client representatives,subcontractors,andotherstakeholderstocoordinateworkandverifysatisfactorycompletionofallrequirements.
• Develop material/equipmentlistsandworkloadestimatesfornewinstallationsandtocorrectdeficiencies.
• Ensureallconstructionequipmentisbeingproperlymaintainedandinspectedperiodicallywhileonsite.
• Ensuretheprojectsiteiscleanandsafeatalltimes.
• Providedailyreportsonequipmentcondition,work performed,andupcomingplans.
• Assistthe Project Managerwithroutinecommunication ,includinge-mailandtelephoniccontactwithvendors,subcontractors,and customers.
• Draftandorganizedailyelectronicdocumentationfollowingeachinstallationorrepairvisit,includingcompilingreceiptsandprocessingexpenses,obtaining
  
  Clientapprovalsignature(s) onpunchlistitems,updating as-built drawings,andpreparingotherclose-out documents.

• High School Diplomaisrequired .
• Bachelor’sdegreeinengineering,construction management,orarelatedfieldispreferred.
• Minimumofthreeyearsofexperienceasaconstructionsupervisor/foreman,orsuperintendentisrequired.
• Minimumoffiveyearsofexperiencewithexcavation,theplacementofreinforcedconcrete,and/ortheinstallationofindustrialfencing.
