Water/Wastewater Project Manager
A well-established civil and mechanical contractor in the Nashville area is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Project Manager to oversee complex municipal treatment plant projects from preconstruction through final closeout. This is an opportunity for a strong project leader who understands WTP/WWTP construction and takes pride in delivering essential infrastructure safely, efficiently, and profitably.
What You'll Manage- Water and wastewater treatment plant projects from preconstruction through completion
- Project budgets, schedules, forecasts, cost reports, and overall financial performance
- Process piping, mechanical systems, tankage, structural components, and related civil work
- RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, contracts, and project documentation
- Coordination with owners, engineers, municipalities, superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Procurement, material deliveries, subcontractor agreements, and project logistics
- Progress meetings, client communication, and regular project updates
- Project risks, field challenges, and solutions that keep work moving
- Safety, quality, regulatory, and contractual compliance
- 5+ years of project management experience in water and wastewater construction
- Strong knowledge of treatment plants, process piping, mechanical systems, and structural construction
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, cost controls, and project profitability
- Experience leading both self-perform and subcontracted scopes of work
- Strong communication, organization, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, contracts, and technical documents
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, planning, and client relationships
