The High School Mathematics and Computer Science (PLTW) Teacher plans and implements rigorous instruction aligned with the Missouri Learning Standards and the Project Lead The Way (PLTW) framework, fostering computational thinking, mathematical fluency, and real-world problem-solving skills. This teacher will engage students in project-based learning and theoretical inquiry to bridge the gap between abstract mathematical concepts and practical technical application. Through dynamic and hands-on instruction, the teacher will guide students in mastering algebraic and geometric reasoning while simultaneously developing proficiency in programming languages, algorithms, and cybersecurity principles.

QualificationsEDUCATION AND/OR
EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors Degree in Education, or content related field required
- 9-12 Math Teaching required
- Experience working with a diverse population of children preferred
Certificates/Licenses
- MO Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Teaching Certification in Math

189 day contract based on the district academic calendar and building hours
SALARY:
Salary is determined by the Certified Teacher Salary Schedule, which accounts for both years of experience and educational attainment (Masters degrees, specialist credits, etc.). The District recognizes all years of prior verified teaching experience for placement on the salary scale.
