Core Responsibilities
Executive Design Leadership: Architect and direct the electrical design process from initial concept through final construction for diverse commercial and institutional portfolios.
System Integration & Mastery: Own the technical integrity of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems, ensuring every design exceeds rigorous codes and performance standards.
Project Stewardship: Oversee multidisciplinary teams and manage project life cycles to ensure high-fidelity deliverables are met on schedule and within budget.
Strategic Client Partnership: Act as the firm's trusted advisor, translating complex technical requirements into actionable solutions and cultivating long-term professional relationships.
Talent Cultivation: Mentor and coach junior engineers and designers, establishing a high bar for technical excellence and fostering a collaborative environment of professional growth.
Technical Quality Control: Perform exhaustive reviews of electrical calculations and construction documents to ensure absolute compliance and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited institution.
Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in electrical design, specifically within an engineering consulting environment.
Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in power systems design, load calculations, and National Electrical Code (NEC) compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
Specialized Expertise: Proven track record in specialized lighting design or fire alarm systems for large-scale institutional projects.
Leadership Pedigree: Experience leading project teams and managing client-facing interactions for projects exceeding $10M in construction value.
Software Acumen: Proficiency in Revit MEP, SKM, or ETAP for advanced power system analysis.
