Detailstoincludeallviewsanddimensionsnecessaryforconstructionandfabrication.
Decisionmakerbutrefersmostquestions/problemstooperationsorsupervisor.
Hasasolidunderstandingofdraftingtechniques.
Possessesmechanicalaptitudewithabilitytocompletebasicmathematicalcalculations.
TheCADDesignerreportsdirectlytothe Project Engineer .
TheCADDesignerwillassistwithallthedesigndutiesassociatedwithsecurityconstructionprojects,productshopdrawings,andmanufacturingdrawingsutilizingtheirexperienceinCADsystems,including
AutoCADand Autodesk Inventor .
TheCADDesigner’sdutieswillinclude,butnotbelimitedtothefollowing:
- Developingandimplementingdesignanddrawingstandards.
- DraftingsecurityrelatedconstructiondrawingsforawiderangeofclientsincludingtheU.S.Army Corpsof Engineers ,Chemical Facilities,Department of Energy,U.S.Air Force,and Fortune
500companies. - Preparingpartsandinventorylists.
- Preparemanufacturingdrawings.
- Performotheradministrativeandmanagementtasksasdirectedbythe Chiefof Operationsor Project Engineer .
Qualifications:
- High School Diplomaisrequired
- Hasproficiencyin
AutoCADsoftware. - Post-secondaryschooltrainingindrafting(2-4yeartechnicalcertificateordegreefromanaccreditedinstitutionpreferred).
- Musthaveasolidunderstandingofdraftingtechniques.
- Previousworkinthe Civil Engineeringfieldisaplus .
- Musthavegoodpersonalhabits,betechnicallyconscientious,canstayontaskandcompleteworkonschedule,andcanworkindependentlyaswellasonateam.
- 3yearsofexperienceinaprofessionalworkenvironmentisrequired.
- 3ormoreyearsofexperienceinAUTOCADDesignrequired.
- AdvancedproficiencywithAUTOCAD
2012andMSOfficeapplicationsisrequired. - Proficiency with Micro Station Power Draftisaplus .
- Proficiency with Inventorisaplus.
- Proficiency with Solid Worksisaplus .
- Mustbeabletocompletestandardpre-hirechecksincludingbackground,drug screen,and references
- Abilitytositatacomputerworkstationforseveralhoursatatime
- Full Time/Salarycommensuratewithexperience($45,000-$55,000peryear)
