Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) supports financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis across Health Services operations for assigned market(s). This role partners closely with facility, physician group, and corporate leadership to provide financial visibility, support decision‑making, and improve financial performance. The Senior Financial Analyst develops reporting tools, delivers actionable insights, supports budgeting and forecasting processes, and promotes standardized financial practices.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain financial reporting tools and analytics to support standardized reporting.
- Prepare, analyze, and present recurring and ad‑hoc financial reports to support operational and financial decision‑making.
- Interpret financial results, trends, and forecasts to identify performance drivers, risks, and opportunities.
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes for assigned health services entities.
- Partner with facility and physician practice leadership to provide decision support through benchmarking, productivity analysis, compensation reporting, and key performance metrics.
- Assist with budgeting system enhancements, testing, training, and process improvements to improve efficiency and reporting effectiveness.
- Promote standardized financial methodologies, reporting practices, and internal controls.
- Collaborate with finance and operational leaders to support strategic and financial initiatives.
- Translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights that support informed business decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 3+ years of finance, accounting, or FP&A experience.
- Knowledge of accounting and finance principles and practices.
- Strong financial analysis, reporting, and modeling skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to summarize detailed analyses for leadership audiences.
- Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and ownership of work products.
- Strong collaboration and business partnership skills.
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Healthcare, hospital, or physician practice finance experience.
