Overview

The Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Hospitals supports financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across hospital operations for assigned hospitals and markets. This role works closely with FP&A leadership and operational teams to provide financial insights, support decision‑making, and improve reporting and planning processes. The Financial Analyst develops analyses and reporting that help leaders understand financial performance and operational trends.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares and maintains financial reports, dashboards, and analytical tools that support hospital and market operations.
  • Analyzes financial and operational performance and identify key trends, variances, risks, and opportunities.
  • Supports recurring and ad hoc reporting needs for hospital, market, and corporate leadership.
  • Assists with annual budgeting and forecasting processes for assigned hospitals and market operations.
  • Supports business decision‑making through benchmarking, productivity analysis, and reporting of key financial and operational metrics.
  • Assists with budgeting system maintenance, testing, training, and process improvements.
  • Maintains standardized reporting practices and support compliance with established financial controls and procedures.
  • Collaborates with finance and operational teams to support strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Communicates analytical findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 1+ years of finance, accounting, or FP&A experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting and finance principles and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Healthcare or hospital finance experience.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, or financial planning systems.
  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
