About Commercial Insurance Associates, LLC Summary of Position
The Human Resources Specialist supports the day-to-day operations of the HR function with a strong emphasis on HR data reporting, employee onboarding, and benefits administration. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and a high-quality employee experience through effective coordination of systems, documentation, and communication.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain HRIS and payroll data integrity; support reporting, audits, and compliance.
- Generate workforce and HR analytics reports (headcount, turnover, compensation, benefits, PTO).
- Support annual HR processes including compensation cycles, benefits renewals, and compliance reporting.
- Partner with Finance on payroll validation, reconciliations, and workforce reporting.
- Manage full-cycle onboarding, including I-9 compliance, system setup, orientation, and new hire support.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and open enrollment.
- Reconcile benefits invoices, resolve discrepancies with vendors, and coordinate with Finance on payments.
- Ensure compliance with ACA, COBRA, and federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Maintain accurate personnel records and support internal and external audits.
- Support employee communications, policy updates, and broader HR initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist or specialist role.
- Strong HRIS experience required (Rippling, Paycor, or similar systems preferred).
- Experience reconciling benefit invoices and working with carriers.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and data reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with HRIS systems (Rippling Is preferred)
- Exposure to benefits administration or billing reconciliation.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools.
