POSITION SUMMARY
The Epic Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for the design, development, support, and execution of reports, dashboards, and solutions that support Ardent Health's market and corporate customers. This role is also responsible for understanding the core technical components of Ardent's applications, databases, and developing solutions to drive increased productivity, engagement, and customer satisfaction
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain extracts from Epic's Clarity & Caboodle databases utilizing SSIS and our sFTP program Go Anywhere.
- Participate in agile meetings (e.g. daily scrums, retrospectives, backlog grooming, and sprint planning).
- Complete all tasks in a timely manner with accurate documentation.
- Responsible for gathering requirements, creation, operational stability, tuning, and management of reports and dashboards utilizing Epic reporting tools and Power
BI. - Participate in Epic upgrades, implementations and other large Epic initiatives.
- Provide corporate and market resources with support and enhancements for Reporting Workbench, Slicer Dicer, and Power
BI reporting tools. - Respond to support tickets in line with established turnaround times.
- On-call support rotation for critical applications and reports.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer/Data Science or equivalent work experience.
- Work experience and certification in Epic Clarity and Caboodle data models.
- Epic certification in the Clinical and/or Access data model tracks, preferred.
- Epic Reporting experience including working with various reporting tools (Reporting Workbench, Slicer Dicer, Radar, & Power
BI). - 3+ years of designing and developing ETL and/or reporting from SQL Server.
- Experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle (requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, support).
- 5+ years of designing and developing ETL and reporting from SQL Server, preferred.
- Experience in the development of ETL processes via SSIS and sFTP, preferred.
- Experience working within the healthcare industry, preferred.
- Experience with Git source control, preferred.
- Experience with Power
BI, preferred.
