SD-WAN Engineer

We are seeking an experienced SD‑WAN Engineer with a strong background in Cisco routing, switching, and Cisco Viptela SD‑WAN technologies to support a large enterprise healthcare network environment. This role will focus on hands‑on troubleshooting, new site deployments, optimization, and some design support across a distributed CONUS network. Candidates must be local to Nashville and available to come onsite to the office 4 days a week.

• Provide break/fix troubleshooting and operational support for Cisco Viptela and Fortinet SD‑WAN environments
• Engineer and support new SD‑WAN site deployments across multiple U.S. locations
• Assist with SD‑WAN architecture and design efforts as needed
• Perform optimization and performance tuning of SD‑WAN and WAN connectivity
• Support enterprise routing and switching functions within a healthcare network environment
• Work across underlay and overlay networking concepts, ensuring stable WAN/MPLS connectivity
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders; strong collaboration skills are essential

• 3–5 years of direct experience troubleshooting, engineering, and supporting Cisco SD‑WAN technologies
• Hands‑on experience with Cisco Viptela SD‑WAN (vManage, vBond, vSmart)
• Hands‑on experience with Fortinet SD‑WAN
• Strong knowledge of enterprise routing and switching
• Required protocol experience:
• BGP
• OSPF
• Experience with DMVPN preferred
• Solid understanding of:
• WAN and MPLS environments
• Ability to support occasional after‑hours work as needed while maintaining a 40‑hour work week

• Exposure to Meraki SD‑WAN is beneficial but not required
• Cisco CCNP certification or equivalent strongly preferred
