Quality Assurance Tester

Overview

Validate AEM development updates to confirm delivered work meets requirements and is ready for release. This role focuses on testing what was built, documenting defects in Jira, and supporting consistent quality across components, templates, pages, and authored content.

• Review stories and acceptance criteria, define test scenarios, and flag gaps early.
• Validate component and page behavior across devices and viewports.
• Log defects in Jira with clear steps, evidence, and severity recommendations.
• Re-test fixes and complete targeted regression before sign-off.
• Communicate QA status, risks, and readiness to support release decisions.

• Test checklists and scenarios aligned to acceptance criteria
• Jira defects with reproduction steps, expected vs actual results, and evidence
• Re-test and regression results, including release readiness notes
• Updated reusable QA checklists for common AEM patterns

• 2+ years QA experience testing web applications or CMS-based sites
• Experience validating work against acceptance criteria in Agile delivery
• Familiarity with AEM pages, templates, components, and authoring workflows
• Strong Jira experience for defect tracking and workflow management

• Experience with component libraries or design systems
• Experience building repeatable test cases and regression packs
• Experience supporting releases across QA, staging, and UAT environments
• Familiarity with AEM pages, templates, components, and authoring workflows

• AEM (Sites) environments, Jira (optionally Confluence)
• Functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, and risk-based testing

• Releases have clear QA readiness and fewer late-cycle defects.
• Defects are actionable, resolved quickly, and verified with minimal rework.
• Testing is consistent and traceable to acceptance criteria.
• Stakeholders have reliable visibility into quality status and risks.
