Asso Business Analyst, IT Retail Systems

Overall Job Summary

This position is responsible for the deployment of code over multiple environments, including development, QA, stage, and production for assigned teams.

• Perform and/or coordinate configuration changes for applications in the area of responsibility.
• Define, analyze, and evaluate existing business functions and processes and make recommendations to management on opportunities for process improvements.
• Meet with business partners, project managers, and vendor partners to determine project scope and vision, set system goals, identify and resolve system issues, and lead prioritization of build items.
• Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications to stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.
• Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information flow; document risks and identify mitigation strategies.
• Participate in the execution of test cases as part of the Quality Assurance process.
• Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team. This includes creating process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to the team.
• Review system design plans for reasonableness and fit with the business requirements.
• Provide orientation to end users for modifications to existing processes and new functionality.
• Conduct research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and support purchasing efforts.

• Experience:
  
  3‑5 years in Information Technology, including experience in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodology.
• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field from an accredited college or university. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
