CNC Machinist

Overview

Job Summary:

The CNC Machinist is responsible for the manufacturing of various WYKO products and parts. Utilizing CNC Milling, Turning, and Manual machines along with a variety of hand/power tools to perform advanced and complex machining requirements in accordance with quality standards. Performs all work in accordance with standard work.

• Adheres to all safety protocols and the correct use of PPE by team members
• Operate and monitor CNC Machines and other required activities with minimal supervision
• Machine Preparation and Setups
• Able to work to a work schedule and perform timely changeovers
• Operates various bench type hand tools and machinery to modify assemblies to achieve required specifications
• Maintain organized workstations by practicing 5S principles and ensuring a clean, safe work environment of the area of responsibility
• Troubleshoot assembly problems: notify machineling lead hand of any operation or quality problems
• Perform quality checks per the quality inspection and document specified measurements as required
• Follow all procedures and instruction in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and Company Policies
• Ensure accurate completion of production paperwork and system data entry requirements
• Communicate during meetings, updates, and shift changes
• Oversee and maintain tooling, measuring tools, and machinery
• Perform required PM protocols for the area and machines of responsibility
• Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives
• Model the qualities and behaviors that positively advance the company’s culture and influence others to adopt these aspirations
