The Adult Groups Minister, under the direction of the Brentwood Region Executive Pastor, is responsible for leading all aspects of the Brentwood Campus Adult Groups Ministry. This minister will help develop a culture of small groups characterized by disciple-making and community engagement, as well as mobilizing people (both members and prospects) toward deeper levels of connection and service together as a church.
This minister will lead the Adult Groups Associate Ministers and other members of the groups team to execute the vision of BBC, while also ensuring that our disciple-making strategy (DXD) is implemented within the Groups ministry. The Adult Groups Minister provides input and direction for strategy and goals, and with the larger ministerial staff, supports the overall mission and vision of Brentwood Baptist Church.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

GENERAL- Serve as a member of the Brentwood Campus Leadership Team, representing all aspects of Adult Groups ministry at the Brentwood campus.
- Establish professional and personal goals that coordinate with the mission and vision of Brentwood Baptist Church.
- Maintain a program of spiritual, professional, and physical self-development, including a monthly spiritual retreat day.
- Stay informed about methods and materials related to the Adult Groups ministry.
- Lead the Group ministry team at the Brentwood campus.
- Provide oversight and partner with the Adult Groups Associate Ministers to administer and coordinate on and off-campus groups.
- Effectively identify, equip, deploy, and support new group leaders to facilitate the multiplication of new groups to reach new people.
- Develop strategies and easy on-ramps that help people connect in group ministry.
- Design and execute a strategy to ensure that the values of grow, care, and equip are achieved in groups.
- Ensure that the Brentwood campus groups ministry aligns with BBC's core ministry philosophy (DXD strategy), including a "dotted line" relationship with the church-wide BBC groups ministry team.
- Provide regular equipping opportunities for group leaders that develop their spiritual maturity, competence, and confidence in their role.
- Manage and vet the curriculum used in all groups, ensuring it aligns with Brentwood Baptist's statement of faith (BF&M 2000).
- Provide supervisory responsibilities of the assigned Administrative Assistant and other staff as appropriate.
- Attend all required staff meetings and complete reports in a timely and concise manner.
- Meet regularly with the Brentwood Region Executive Pastor to download/upload information and collaborate on strategy.
- Be available to serve the church as a decision counselor, pastoral counselor, on-call minister, and on-site minister (as assigned). Perform weddings and funerals as available.
- Must have the flexibility to accept and execute other duties as assigned.
