    POSITION SUMMARY

    Provides timely, quality education to the hospital and community. Processes include nursing orientation, continuing education, assigned clinical in-services, Meditech training, and coordinates all employee Occupational Health Nurse duties and responsibilities. Responsible for the care and treatment of all hospital employees.

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS

    Formal Education / Training:

    • Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
    • BSN preferred
    • RN licensed by the State of Tennessee

    Workplace

    Experience:

    RN with at least three years of experience training and development or nursing and/or a combination thereof.

    Equipment and Skills Training:

    The ability to work well under pressure, to function dependently and independently and to be flexible in applying basic nursing knowledge to a variety of settings. Chart review ability; basic computer skills, interpersonal communication skills, and proper telephone etiquette. Experience with Meditech computer systems with good presentation skills.

    Physical Environment:

    Education and Development Department.

    Physical Effort:

    Must be able to sit, stand, lift, bend, and use a keyboard.

    PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
    • Conducts clinical and non-clinical in-services as required by needs assessment and/or request. Participates in Clinical Process Teams as assigned. Supports community health programs as needed.
