Box Truck Driver and Document Storage Assistant

Join Our Team as a Box Truck Driver and Document Storage Assistant (Contract). Are you a meticulous and dependable professional with a passion for organization? Do you have experience with records management and the ability to operate a box truck? If so, we want to hear from you!

• Safely operate box truck for local and regional deliveries/pickups
• Load and unload document boxes using proper lifting techniques
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Follow scheduled routes and delivery timelines
• Comply with DOT regulations and company vehicle safety policies

• Receive, label, and store incoming document boxes and files according to Diversicare policies
• Retrieve and prepare documents for scheduled deliveries or pickups
• Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems
• Ensure proper handling and storage of sensitive and confidential materials
• May operate forklift, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely
• Safely operate shredding machines as directed
• Keep warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards

• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients during pickups and deliveries
• Coordinate with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure timely and accurate service
• Report any issues, delays, or discrepancies promptly
• Maintain a professional demeanor at all times

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Experience driving box truck preferred
• Perform physical tasks as required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and part of a team
• Forklift operation/certification may be required
• Basic computer skills (data entry, inventory tracking)

Works indoors primarily in warehouse conditions, however, may work outdoors on occasion. Noise level within the work environment is usually moderate. May require travel that may include driving long distances and overnight stays.

Maximum lifting of approximately 50 pounds. Frequent walking and/or standing, lifting. The team member is regularly required to walk, kneel, stand, push and pull equipment frequently throughout the day. The team member frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. Must be able to sit for extended periods while driving.
