Overview
Transylvania County Schools seeks an Outdoor Studies and Discovery Teacher at Pisgah Forest Elementary School. This is a full-time, 10-month position available for the 2026-27 school year (beginning August 17, 2026). The role includes employee benefits.
Responsibilities- Provide students with hands-on, outdoor learning experiences that connect academics to biodiversity in the local area.
- Foster environmental stewardship while incorporating Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) into outdoor exploration.
- Coordinate grade-level content and connect learners with age-appropriate lessons to develop activities and projects that stimulate curiosity about the outdoor world.
- Hold or be eligible to hold North Carolina licensure in a K-6 or K-12 licensure area.
