About Our Emergency Department

Transylvania Regional Hospital is a critical access hospital located in Brevard, North Carolina. Our Emergency Department features a 16‑bed unit, including 4 vertical chairs, and 4 regular treatment rooms that can be converted into behavioral health rooms.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Provides leadership that facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well‑being of patients. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Implements medically prescribed interventions.

What Qualifications You Will Need
  • Education:

    Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program and obtaining a BSN within 5 years of hire. RNs with 10 years or more of experience are exempt.
  • License:
    Current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. An eNLC license may apply, and must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider.
  • Experience:

    One year of hospital nursing experience.
