About Our Emergency Department
Transylvania Regional Hospital is a critical‑access hospital located in Brevard, North Carolina. Our Emergency Department features a 16‑bed unit with 4 vertical chairs and 4 regular treatment rooms that can be converted into behavioral health rooms. We provide acute care for a wide variety of diagnoses, from chest pain and abdominal pain to broken bones and infections.

ResponsibilitiesProvides leadership which facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well‑being of patients. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Implements medically prescribed interventions.
Qualifications- Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program with a deadline to obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire. Grandfathering and extensions may be approved by the facility CNO and reported to the CNO Council. RNs with 10 years or more of experience are exempt. - License:
Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. An eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply; licensee should confirm with NCBON. A Registered Nurse license must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. - Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider.
- Experience:
One year hospital nursing experience.
