As a Registered Nurse Oncology, you will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in line with department requirements and state/specialty standards. You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team, providing personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care following the nursing model of Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage
. You will act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values to ensure outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

• Assess the patient’s condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting changes in status.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s); ensure thorough and timely documentation in the patient’s medical record.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating needs, and resolving them.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient’s medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow‑up measures, ensuring complete understanding.

• Required
  
  Education:
  
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program with completion within five years of hire; graduate exemption policy between departments and Mission Health entities; RNs with 10+ years experience exempt.
• Preferred Education:
  
  Masters in Nursing.
• Required License/
  
  Certifications:
  
  Current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC license may apply.
• Certificate: BLS Healthcare Provider.
• Preferred License/
  
  Certifications:
  
  National Certification in area of specialty.
• Required Experience:
  
  One year hospital nursing experience.
