CVOR Registered Nurse

Mission Health, based in Asheville, NC, is seeking a dedicated CVOR Registered Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will provide expert, compassionate nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures in a fast-paced operating room environment. Working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the broader interdisciplinary care team, you will circulate and scrub on complex open-heart and vascular cases, ensure strict adherence to sterile technique, and support all aspects of intraoperative patient care.

The CVOR Registered Nurse is responsible for preoperative assessment and verification, preparing the operating room with appropriate cardiovascular instruments, supplies, and equipment, and anticipating the needs of the surgical team throughout each procedure. You will monitor patient status, accurately document nursing interventions, manage medications and blood products as directed, and participate in the safe transfer of patients to and from the operating room.

You will follow all clinical protocols, infection prevention standards, and safety regulations while actively supporting quality improvement and best practices.
