Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse in the Pulmonary department, you will deliver high-quality, patient‑centered care in accordance with state and specialty standards. You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team, following nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” You will advocate for patients, families, and caregivers to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients’ conditions during admission and at each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s) and maintain thorough and timely documentation in the patient’s medical record.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response.
- Respond promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipate patient needs, and resolve them.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow‑up measures, translating complex terminology into understandable language.
- Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
