Transylvania Regional Hospital invites recent nursing graduates to join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN) under the HCA Healthcare Residency Program. This one‑year, paid residency provides clinical training, mentorship, and evidence‑based practice projects to transition students into confident, high‑quality nurses.
Job SummaryThe RN Resident delivers patient‑centered care within a specialty area, supporting medical team collaboration, patient advocacy, and outcome improvement. Work involves assessment, intervention, medication administration, documentation, and patient education using established nursing models.
Responsibilities- Assess patient conditions during admission and each shift, reporting changes in status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, and other provider‑ordered functions; document care accurately and promptly.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and intervene when necessary.
- Provide prompt, anticipatory care to meet patient needs.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, treatment plans, medication regimens, and follow‑up care in understandable terms.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Registered Nurse license or Graduate Nurse credential in the state.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year of employment.
- Other certifications may be required during employment.
- No prior RN experience required; training and travel for the residency may be necessary.
- Comprehensive medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, behavioral health, and telemedicine services.
