Job Overview

Mission Health, based in Asheville, NC, is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Medical Surgical unit within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to provide high‑quality, patient‑centered care to a diverse adult population with a variety of medical and surgical conditions.

• Perform direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, performing wound care and other treatments, assisting with activities of daily living, and accurately documenting assessments and interventions in the electronic medical record.
• Support physicians and registered nurses during examinations, procedures, admissions, transfers, and discharges, while helping to coordinate care and communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team.

• Licensed Practical Nurse with strong clinical judgment within scope of practice, committed to safety, quality, and compassionate service.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time‑management skills, ability to prioritize multiple patient needs, and comfort with technology and electronic documentation.
• Ability to provide patient education, reinforce discharge instructions, and help patients and families understand treatment plans.
