American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Acute Care/ICU unit requiring an active NC or Compact RN license and at least 2 years of recent nursing experience.

• Acute care unit combining Med-Surg and ICU/step-down patient care, 30 beds with 40+ staff
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 13-week assignment length
• Patient ratios of 2-4:1 for ICU/step-down and 5-6:1 for Med-Surg, supported by 2-3 PCTs per floor
• Utilizes IV pumps, SCDs, Nova Stat glucometer, wound vac, Baxter feeding pump, lift equipment, and Pyxis
• Charting performed in Cerner EMR
• Weekend rotation required approximately every 3rd Monday and Friday within a 6-week schedule
• Holiday coverage required per facility staffing matrix
• Floating to TCU may be required

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required, to be completed prior to end of orientation
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
• ICU or step-down experience preferred
• At least 1 year of Med-Surg experience preferred
• Experience with IV starts, CVL, arterial lines, foley catheters, EKG monitoring, and wound care preferred
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Participates in a team-based care model with daily interdisciplinary meetings including MDs, nursing, case management, pharmacy, and PT/OT to discuss patient care and discharge planning
• Best suited for candidates able to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Navy blue scrubs required for nurses
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
