Role Overview
The Registered Nurse Medical Cardiology Stepdown provides high-quality, patient-centered care in a specialized cardiology setting. They collaborate with medical teams to assess, perform, teach, and manage patient needs, acting as advocates for patients, families, and caregivers.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient conditions during admission and shifts, reporting changes promptly.
- Perform procedures, monitor patient responses, administer medications, and document care accurately.
- Respond quickly to patient requests, anticipate needs, and resolve issues effectively.
- Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatments, medications, and follow-up care in understandable terms.
- RN licensure with a Bachelor's or Associate Degree.
- Minimum of 1+ years of RN experience.
- Certification in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment.
