What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.

* Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.

* Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.

* Monitor access points and visitor activity, helping to support authorized entry procedures and directing individuals to appropriate departments or resources.

* Support healthcare operations by reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy-related issues, and by assisting with de-escalation when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

* Must be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.

* Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.

* Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.

* Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.

* Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
