HVAC Service Technician

MAC Heating & Air is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to join our family-style team in Lubbock, TX. In this role, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial heating, cooling, and indoor air quality systems. You'll perform accurate troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and component replacements while providing honest recommendations and clear explanations to customers. Technicians represent our customer-first culture by being professional, respectful, and safety-focused on every job.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems
• Perform start-ups, tune-ups, and preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment
• Inspect and troubleshoot electrical components, refrigerant levels, and airflow issues
• Recommend honest, cost-effective repair and replacement options to customers
• Install or replace HVAC components, thermostats, and indoor air quality products
• Document work performed, parts used, and system status in service tickets
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all company and OSHA safety standards
• Provide professional, respectful customer service and uphold company values on every job
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service as needed
• Collaborate with team members and attend training to stay current on HVAC technologies
