MAC is seeking a skilled Retrofit Installer to support our HVAC wholesale operations. In this field-based role, you'll install and upgrade HVAC systems and components, interpret technical drawings, and perform diagnostics on existing equipment. You'll handle brazing, electrical hookups, and duct modifications while ensuring code compliance, safety, and performance. Working closely with a collaborative, inclusive team, you'll document work, communicate with clients and internal partners, and contribute to energy-efficient retrofit solutions with strong growth potential.

Responsibilities

  • Install HVAC retrofit components and systems in residential and light commercial settings
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, retrofit specs, and manufacturer instructions
  • Diagnose existing HVAC systems and recommend appropriate retrofit solutions
  • Safely braze, solder, and connect refrigerant and condensate lines
  • Perform start-up, testing, and verification of retrofit system performance
  • Document work performed, materials used, and update service records accurately
  • Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams on work status and findings
  • Follow MAC and industry safety standards, codes, and environmental regulations
  • Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in clean, safe working order
  • Collaborate with warehouse and project teams to ensure timely material availability
