SLP in Brewer, ME

Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting Extended School Year (ESY) services. You'll play a critical role in helping students achieve their communication goals over the summer session. This contract position is set to begin July 8 and follows a convenient Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday onsite schedule-giving you long weekends to enjoy during the summer months.

Ideal candidates will bring their expertise and passion for student success, along with the following qualifications:

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Holds a valid license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred, though Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) applicants are welcome
• Prior experience working in a K-12 school setting is highly valued
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Adept at collaborating with educators, parents, and support staff
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language therapy services onsite to students participating in ESY
• Assess and document student progress, maintaining accurate records in alignment with school and state requirements
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's needs
• Attend and contribute to team meetings regarding student progress as required
• Provide support and guidance to classroom teachers and families to maximize student outcomes
