Education Technician III – Special Education – Transition Advantage Program

rate of pay ranges from $24.20 to $31.46 per hour, plus

95% employer paid single health insurance coverage and 100% employer paid dental insurance coverage, with dependent coverages available

• State of Maine Ed Tech III certification and current CHRC
• Experience working with students with various disabilities and needs related to academics, life skills, social, emotional, and behavioral regulation
• Experience planning and delivering specialized instruction in reading, writing, math and social skills (preferred)
• Experience working with students in a classroom and/or vocational setting
• Ability to support and follow Individual Education Programs
• Ability to plan and execute curriculum and track student performance/data
• Ability to follow and provide consistent routines, schedules, and positive behavior intervention plans
• Calm, patient and positive demeanor
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work collaboratively on a team of providers and specialists
• Ability to support and carry out personal care needs for students which may involve hygiene, lifting, position transfers, etc.
• Valid State of Maine driver’s license
• Background in emotional de-escalation and/or Safety Care training (preferred)
