Job DescriptionA Shipping & Tank Finishing Tech is responsible for preparing finished tanks for shipment while also supporting shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse operations. This position ensures products meet Westmor s quality standards and are delivered accurately, safely, and on time.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Tank Preparation & Quality
- Install valves, brackets, sensors, lights, decals, and other accessories.
- Perform electrical wiring, final assembly, and minor fabrication or welding as required.
- Buff, deburr, polish, and finish aluminum surfaces.
- Conduct leak, pressure, and visual inspections to ensure quality and compliance.
- Document inspection results and report defects.
- Clean, cap, package, and stage completed tanks for shipment.
- Shipping, Receiving & Inventory
- Receive, inspect, and distribute incoming parts and materials.
- Package customer orders and prepare shipping documentation.
- Ensure orders are shipped accurately and on schedule.
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
- Organize inventory, perform cycle counts, and maintain warehouse accuracy.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and walk-in customer support.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area using 5S principles.
- Follow all company safety policies and quality standards.
- Work effectively with Production, Quality, and Shipping teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Weekly paycheck

- Ability to read blueprints and work instructions.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools.
- Forklift experience or willingness to become certified.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to meet production schedules and perform physical job requirements, including lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions when necessary.
