Overview
Madison Animal Hospital is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to our team. We have recently expanded into a new construction hospital, offering opportunities for part-time or full-time associate veterinarians to join our friendly, competent, and well-organized team in Madison, Maine. Madison is a beautiful small town on the Kennebec River with access to outdoor activities and cultural events.
We are a full-service small animal facility focused on high-quality, compassionate veterinary care. Our experienced support team and veterinarians are capable mentors and teachers. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Hospital hours are Monday through Friday with no weekends.
We offer a spacious facility with multiple exam rooms, designated patient wards, ICU, surgical/dental and treatment areas, a fully equipped IDEXX laboratory, ultrasound, radiography, digital dental radiography, and a quiet dedicated doctor’s area near the hub of patient care.
What You’ll Do- Examine and diagnose diseases and injuries of pets (primarily dogs and cats), and treat surgically or medically
- Collaborate within our veterinary ecosystem and communicate with referring veterinarians
- Participate in ongoing education, seminars, and training to stay at the top of your field
- Administer core vaccinations and counsel clients in well-pet care
- Perform dentals as needed
- Maintain high-quality, accurate medical records
- Contribute to making our workplace enjoyable for all—staff, clients, and pets
