Traffic Incident Management; TIM Coordinator

The Bangor Area Comprehensive Transportation System (BACTS) is seeking a motivated and organized professional to serve as its Traffic Incident Management (TIM) Coordinator.

This position serves as the primary lead for Maine's statewide Traffic Incident Management program in partnership with the Maine Department of Transportation. Responsibilities include coordinating TIM training and outreach, facilitating stakeholder meetings, conducting After Action Reviews, supporting transportation safety initiatives, and assisting with transportation planning and data analysis projects.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, organizational, and technical skills and have an interest in transportation safety, emergency response, public outreach, or transportation planning. Experience in traffic incident management, transportation, emergency services, public safety, or a related field is preferred but not required.

This is a full-time position with travel throughout Maine. A flexible 40-hour work week and opportunities to work with transportation and public safety professionals statewide make this an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a rewarding public service career.

Bangor Area Comprehensive Transportation System (BACTS) is a nonprofit Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) focusing on improving transportation in the greater Bangor region. The BACTS region includes 10 municipalities throughout urban Penobscot County and Penobscot Indian Island. BACTS evaluates and programs transportation improvement projects throughout the region. BACTS also facilitates communication between its member communities, the regional transit agency and state and federal transportation agencies.
