Somic America is seeking a motivated, dependable team member to join our Shipping & Receiving Team

This position can be filled for either 1st or 2nd shift.

As a Shipping & Receiving Operator, you'll help ensure materials and finished products move safely, accurately, and on time throughout our facility. Daily responsibilities include:

• Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks
• Prepare customer shipments, including staging, wrapping, strapping, and labeling
• Verify shipments for accuracy before they leave the facility
• Receive raw materials and maintain accurate inventory records using AIM
• Transport materials and finished goods throughout the plant
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely
• Maintain FIFO inventory practices
• Process shipping paperwork, including Fed Ex, UPS, export, and service part shipments
• Inspect and sort returnable packaging
• Help maintain an organized, clean, and safe Shipping & Receiving area
• Support continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives

• Has a strong attention to detail
• Works safely and follows standardized work procedures
• Enjoys working independently and as part of a team
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and supervisors
• Is comfortable learning computer systems such as AIM, Microsoft Excel, and Word
• Takes pride in accuracy and organization

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read shipping documents and work instructions
• Strong math and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly (75 lbs. occasionally)
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift
